A Night of Side-Splitting Comedy for Disability Charity

A night of comedy is being held at The Black Cherry in Bournemouth in aid of Dorset’s Disability Charity, Diverse Abilities.

The Comedy Night follows two successful events in 2023. The Comedy Night is to be held on Friday, February 23, with Sunjai Arif as the MC for the evening. Sunjai is an engaging comedy storyteller and covers tales about his family, speeding tickets and extremist rodents. Sunjai quickly wins over audiences with his confidence and warm personality.

Sunjai is joined by:

Will Robbins - a stand up, actor, writer and producer. He is also one half of TikTok sensation The Lovely Boys, who have amassed thousands of followers as well as performing sell out live shows. Will’s television credits include Transaction with Jordan Gray, Late Night Mash and Rosie Jones’ Disability Extravaganza.

Nathan D’Arcy Roberts – an award-winning stand-up, screenwriter and actor. Nathan has an exciting and authentic act with a distinct comedic voice and had been twice nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award and awarded the BBC’s prestigious Felix Dexter bursary.

Demi Tarrant, events executive at Diverse Abilities, commented: “We can’t wait to host our third Comedy Night at The Black Cherry. It will be a great way to spend a February evening with Will Robbins, Nathan D’Arcy Roberts and Sunjai Arif to entertain you.”

Rachel, one of the three owners of The Black Cherry, commented: “We are really keen to support the work of Diverse Abilities, as we strongly believe theatre & comedy are for everyone. It’s great to be able to do this in such a positive & upbeat way, introducing people to great up-and-coming professional comedians, in our wonderful creative space.”

The event kicks off at 8pm, with The Black Cherry serving a range of snacks and tasty meals including pizzas and nachos to enjoy before the entertainment begins.

Early bird tickets are now available from £15 at diverseabilities.org.uk/events2024/comedy.
